May News :)

Hello Stampers

Oh dear it has been a whole month since my last post :/  How naughty of me!!

Quite a few things have been happening of late -  I had my first Stamping Retreat and what a blast we all had!!!  more on that next; I had my Bestie's Son's wedding and that was also a blast :); and now I am getting ready for the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue to start!!!!  Can't wait for that to happen :)
If you are in Australia and would like a copy of the new Catty just send me an email here.

My first stamping retreat was a great success and everyone did enjoy themselves, learnt a lot, laughed a lot, talked a lot and stamped a lot :) :)

It was held a the Maroochy Waterfront Camp & Conference Centre which had simply the best outlook and peaceful spot beside the Maroochy River

However the work area for my 15 other ladies was way too small.  So I am now on the hunt for another suitable venue for my next Retreat in 2018.

I made up a couple of challenge kits for the girls to do if they wished and they all had a go at creating and they all did such a wonderful job

The first challenge kit had a small piece of "Party Animal" DSP which is retiring at the end of May; some cardstock and one of the Mini Paper Clips from the current Occasions Catalogue on Page 15.  Here are the gorgeous creations they made :)

The second challenge had 2 flowers from the "Flower Shop" Stamp Set - 1 x Emerald Envy and 1 x Smoky Slate plus 2 rather long pieces of the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Emerald Envy and Smoky Slate..............Here are their creations -

The black "Congrats" Bag was the Grand Prize full of lots of exciting goodies (including chocolates :) ) to one lucky winner at the end of the Retreat.......Congrats to Narelle :)

My Bestie's son's wedding was a low key but fabulous "Party" and the Bride looked gorgeous and the Groom very handsome too.

I made them a wedding card/gift card holder all in one

Here I used the "Falling in Love" DSP and Washi Tape and the wording is from the "Floral Phrases" Stamp Set and "Watercolor Wishes" as well as a little splash of gold!!!

I will talk more about some of the exciting new things coming up in the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue which starts in just 2 weeks exactly today

Happy stamping everyone

OnStage 2017 April Event

Hello Stampers

Well another super exciting Stampin' Up! Event has come and gone and I have lots of exciting new things in my suitcase I have brought home from this event!!!  I can't share them with you just yet but hang in there and I will be sharing with you all  over the coming weeks :) :)

I just love attending the OnStage events that us Demonstrators are invited to at many exciting cities and venues around the world.  The main 2 1/2 day event was held in Amsterdam this April but many local events occur as well and I was lucky enough to attend the Sydney, Australia Event that was held at Luna Park.  Woohoo!!!!  this is one place I have always wanted to go to and so glad the organisers decided to hold our event here this time.  Myself and another couple of my Team of Sunburst Stampers, Sonia and Maree, decided to make a little holiday of it at the same time and we had just the best time with perfect weather.

So we headed out of Brisbane on the Thursday morning with our bags filled with little pillow gifts and I had 50 swaps...................

and landed in Sydney rearing to go!!!

We had a wonderful Sunset Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour......

and so excited to start our day on Saturday 8th April at Luna Park..........

So let the fun begin!!!

and there were many winners................
Firstly Kim who usually does not win anything :) :)

Then Sonia and followed by myself........

and then Maree....

Sorry I can't show you what we won just yet but in the coming weeks watch this space :)
We just had a fabulous day and you can join us at our next event which will be held at the Gold Coast in Queensland not far from where I live...Yay!!!!  Just come along as one of my wonderful team The Sunburst Stampers and ask me here how :)

The Group of INKcredibles who we are also a part of met up for dinner afterwards with this gorgeous view

and sadly on Sunday we had to fly back home to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast but with a suitcase full of goodies ready to start playing and a copy of the next new Annual Catalogue!!!!

The new Annual Catalogue for 2017/2018 begins on June 1 so all will be revealed soon.  In the meantime keep watching for our 2017 Retirement List to grab those last minute bargains before your favourite "wish list" stamp set may be gone forever????

Happy Stamping Everyone :)

Sale-a-Bration Fun!

Hello Stampers

We are now half way through our Sale-a-Bration Promotion where you get to choose great free stamp sets etc for every $90.00 spent.  I have been playing with a few of the goodies on offer so far and am loving them all.

Firstly the "So Very Much" Stamp Set...

Here I used the emboss resist technique and stamped the "Thank You" sentiment in versamark, then embossed with white embossing powder.  I then did a wash with Cherry Cobbler and Real Red using my aqua painter to bring out the words perfectly.  I finished off with some Cherry Cobbler thick twine and silver thread mixed together.  I made this for a lovely lady who co-ordinates the walking group I am a member of and she works so hard for us all.  So recognition was definitely needed :)

Next is the "Avant Garden" Stamp Set which I have to thank Pinterest and a lovely Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Sussex, Wisconsin, USA and Stamptastic Designs who designed this card.  I just love the Triple Stamping Technique.  It can be changed in so many ways and still look fabulous. Thanks Lynn Dunn from Stamptastic Designs :)

Next is the "Delicate Details" Stamp Set.  This is such a versatile stamp set and at first I thought, Hmm not sure if I will like this one??  BUT  now I just love it :)  I used it in my last Class which had a theme of "Black & White + one".  Everyone loved it and it was very easy as well.  I placed each photopolymer stamp on the one large acrylic block and stamped the basic black card with versamark then sprinkled white embossing powder.  It is crucial here that you use your embossing buddy before stamping as black can be very unforgiving when it comes to wet embossing :)   The Happy thinlit is from the current "Hello You" Thinlits Set #137363 on Page 192 of the Annual Catalogue and the sentiment is from the "Birthday Bright" Stamp Set #142835 on Page 13 of the Occasions Catalogue and the little flower is from the "T-Shirt Builder" Framelits Dies #142754 on Page 30 of the Occasions Catalogue.

Next comes the "Inside the Lines" Designer Series Paper.  For those of you who know me I am not a fan of colouring!!!!  BUT once again this paper won me over and along with our new WaterColor Pencils # 141709 on Page 24 of the Occasions Catty I am becoming a convert...

Here is the finished card and you see not a lot of colouring is required to make a stunning card :) The bees are from the "Detailed Dragonfly" Thinlits Dies #142749 on Page 26 of the Occasions Catty.

and of course the "Hey Chick" Stamp Set.  I am really looking forward to using this one for my Sister-in-Law's Birthday Card in July.  She just loves her Chooks and I have the perfect one in mind for her :)  In the meantime I used it for a gift tag on a stamp set which I posted to someone recently.
Once again I used the Watercolor Pencils here.

I do have some exciting news as well!!!!!  There are new items available from tomorrow - Tuesday February 21 and here is a sneak peek of some gorgeous glimmer paper on offer...

Mint Macaron

and Sweet Sugarplum

There is also Bermuda Bay in the pack so if you are in Australia pop on over to my shop here and use my Hostess Code for February - MJ2VVM9E.  Please leave your details when ordering and you will receive an extra gift from me :)

Happy Stamping

Super exciting news!!!!!

Hello Stampers

I am just so happy and excited right now as I have a new Grandson :) Little Oliver Robert was born last Friday and he is just adorable ( could I be a tad biased?)  His big sister Peri is the best big sister ever too.  She loves him to bits and gives him little kisses on his head every moment of the day.  Here is my "Proud Grandma" pic I just had to share xx

So, of course, as soon as I heard the news it was a boy I raced straight into my craft room and made that special "Welcome to the World" card for him.

Using "Moon Baby" Stamp set which I have been wanting to use for quite a while and saved it just for this occasion.

Moon Baby Wood-Mount Stamp Set

I also added the words "twinkle, twinkle little star..." and "do you know how loved you are?" in the middle of the card.  I forgot to take a photo of that bit.

Happy stamping everyone
Proud Grandma Janette :)
