August News

Hello Stampers

Another month has whizzed by and we are now getting ready for the new Holiday Catalogue starting soon on 01 September.

If you are one of my regular customers one of these will be making its way to you real soon so keep an eye out for the postman over the next few weeks :)  If you would like a copy and are not on my mailing list just email me here and I will get one to you as well

I have been lucky enough to have a preview of all the great goodies in this mini Catalogue and I think you are all going to love it :)  I will be posting some samples over the next few weeks also just to give you a taste of what is to come.

New Christmas Stamp Set available now before the new Catty starts -Carols of Christmas with matching Framelits and comes as a Bundle for 10% off.

 Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies

I have had a little play with this set and made a card for my class this weekend.  We will be playing with the new Glossy card at this class and this is the first card we will be creating

Here I used the "Swiping" Technique with Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive and Tranquil Tide.  Christmas Tree colours :) and the big bold "Peace on Earth" stamp.

I feel much more playing to be done to get the most out of this stamp set.

Saturday 19th August         2:00 pm - 4:00 pm       Theme is "A Little bit of Everything!"

There have been quite a few birthdays in my circle of friends lately in July so have had lots of fun time in my craft room.  This first one for a lovely lady in my Walking Group

Here I used Pool Party and Bermuda Bay ink on my acrylic block, spritzed with a little water and then stamped down on Watercolour Paper.  Then stamped the single "Stylized Birthday" Stamp in Archival Basic Black Ink.  I really do believe in the "Less is More" Philosophy :)

Another one for one of the males in my Walking Group.  He is a bit of a keen gardener so the "Colorful Seasons" Stamp Set was my Go-To set for this one and the beautiful filigree leaf from the matching "Seasonal Layers" Framelits Dies was just perfect in the Copper using the Copper Foil Sheets.

This last one for a birthday on Friday for one of the males in our Trivia Group.  Just love the basic black and white.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the "Watercolor Words" Stamp Set.  Such a versatile set.  Trying to use some of my retired Designer Series Paper and twine.  I certainly have a large stash I need to be more creative with.  Am I the only one here with this problem??

Saturday 7th October will be World Card Making Day this year and I am planning a fun day full of crafting activities here on the Sunshine Coast.  So stay tuned for more information coming soon.  Mark it in your calendar. Event invites will be sent out as soon as I have more details from the venue so if you would like to know more just email me here to keep in the loop :)

Fabulous July

Hi there Stampers

I have just come home after 9 days in Western Australia with my son and his family. I love spending time with them all and my little grandies Tyler (5) and Ivy (2) just melt my heart.  We met half way as they flew in from Singapore and I came from the Sunshine Coast on the other side of Australia.  We had 2 days in Perth then a week in the Margaret River Region at a little place called Gnarabup.

It was cold, rainy and very windy, being the heart of winter, and there were still surfers you can see in the bottom picture!!!!  Brrrrrrr!! We still had a fabulous time in between the showers :)

Now home again and back into my fun card making.  I did get all my early July cards done and posted before I left.  Even for my niece in California USA whose birthday is tomorrow.

I just love the "Bundle of Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper and was perfect for my niece's card along with the cute flowers from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" Stamp Set.

This one is for a good friend whom I met whilst working in London back in 1978!! She loves her garden so the "Daisy Delight" Stamp Set was just right for her card.  Happy Birthday to You Rita :)

Testing out some new products!!

Hi there Stampers

I just love when a new Catalogue begins.  This new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue is no exception and there are so many yummy things in this edition.  I just want them all!!!!

My very favourite thing of all though is the "Love Today Planner Kit" :)  Those of you who know me well know that I definitely am a Planner Girl!!  When I go away on holidays, especially overseas ones, I always complete a Journal so that afterwards when I go through my photos I can look back at all the details of where the photos were taken and what I was doing at the time.

So this Planner was a must for me.

Yay!!! it arrived in my order last week and have now just got around to opening it up and setting it up.  It comes in lots of sections, like Monthly Tab Glossy, beautiful pages, whole month pages, diary weekly pages, a book mark and stickers and oh so much more!!!

I started my Journal on July 1st and it will take me through to June 30 next year!!  So I added the years to the front with Gold Glimmer Paper.

I am off to Perth for a catch-up little holiday with my son and his family soon and my new Journal will be the first thing packed in my bag :) :) Loving it!!!

Bonus Coupons are here again :)   Click here to see all the details and start shopping now to get those coupons adding up.  Don't forget to use my Hostess Code for July listed above right, in all online orders, to also get more freebies from me.

I recently changed my regular card making class to add a bit of variety and I held a "Card Buffet".  It was a real hit and the ladies requested another one when next I can fit one in :)

I had 10 x cards to choose from in the Buffet and of various occasions from Female and Male Birthday to a Wedding Card.

My next class will be on Saturday 22nd July and will be a "Christmas in July" Theme.  So if you are on the Sunshine Coast in the Caloundra area why don't you pop in and join us?  More info on my Website here

I have had quite a few birthdays in June and got to play with a few of the new stamp sets and thinlits in the new Annual Catalogue.  Here are a few:-

This one for a friend's Grandson's 4th Birthday.  What boy doesn't love Dinosaurs?  I know my Grandson does :)  This darling paper is from the "Pick-a-Pattern" Designer Series Paper (Great Colours) and using the ever favourite Large Number Framelits and the Stitched Framelits which are getting a big workout at my place.

As you can see my absolute favourite Thinlit of the moment is the "Happy Birthday" Thinlits.  You can do just so much with it and teamed with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets it is a dream to add to your creations.  The first one has two layers - Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Black.  A little bit of colour wash on Shimmery White Cardstock as a background and there you have it.  For a very special friend who celebrates her birthday the day before me

Another "Happy Birthday" Thinlit card for another friend's son turning 30.  Just added a background using the "Playful Backgrounds" Stamp Set and the 30 from the "Number of Years" Stamp Set.  Simple but effective.

Then this one using retired paper from the "Serene Scenery" Designer Series Paper Stack.  I colour washed some Shimmery White cardstock again using the same colour scheme as the designer Series Paper and then ran the Happy Birthday Thinlit through the Bigshot.  This card was for my Bestie's son turning 34 and is a super keen surfer so something with a beach and water was required :) :)

Hoping that you are all having as much fun playing with your new goodies from this new Annual Catalogue as I am :)

and the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue begins!!!

Hello Stampers

Today is a very exciting day in my stamping world :) :)  The new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue goes live today!!!!  I am just so excited to play with all the fun things within these wonderful pages :)

Just click on the Catalogue picture at the right of this Blog to see everything!!!  and if you would like a hard copy to browse through just email me here

Inspiration just pops up in front of you if you look around as you go about your daily activities.  As I walked past a little gift shop in my local shopping centre I see this....

and immediately thought that is a great idea for a card :)  so here is my creation using the new  "Colorful Seasons" Stamp Set on Page 147 of the new Catty and the "Seasonal Layers" Thinlits Dies and couldn't resist adding a little tassel from the Mini Tassels Assortment.

I just added a bit of colour with my aqua painter to duplicate these chairs in the window and cut them out with the Thinlit.

So you can get both the stamp set and the thinlits in a bundle and save 10% so pop on over to my shop here and get them before they go on back order.  I just know they are going to be super popular.

Also if you shop online with me and use the Hostess Code for June - SJANBJAM - you will also receive a gift from me.  If your order is $250.00 or more do not use this Hostess Code as you will receive Hostess $$$ to spend of your own.

May News :)

Hello Stampers

Oh dear it has been a whole month since my last post :/  How naughty of me!!

Quite a few things have been happening of late -  I had my first Stamping Retreat and what a blast we all had!!!  more on that next; I had my Bestie's Son's wedding and that was also a blast :); and now I am getting ready for the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue to start!!!!  Can't wait for that to happen :)
If you are in Australia and would like a copy of the new Catty just send me an email here.

My first stamping retreat was a great success and everyone did enjoy themselves, learnt a lot, laughed a lot, talked a lot and stamped a lot :) :)

It was held a the Maroochy Waterfront Camp & Conference Centre which had simply the best outlook and peaceful spot beside the Maroochy River

However the work area for my 15 other ladies was way too small.  So I am now on the hunt for another suitable venue for my next Retreat in 2018.

I made up a couple of challenge kits for the girls to do if they wished and they all had a go at creating and they all did such a wonderful job

The first challenge kit had a small piece of "Party Animal" DSP which is retiring at the end of May; some cardstock and one of the Mini Paper Clips from the current Occasions Catalogue on Page 15.  Here are the gorgeous creations they made :)

The second challenge had 2 flowers from the "Flower Shop" Stamp Set - 1 x Emerald Envy and 1 x Smoky Slate plus 2 rather long pieces of the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Emerald Envy and Smoky Slate..............Here are their creations -

The black "Congrats" Bag was the Grand Prize full of lots of exciting goodies (including chocolates :) ) to one lucky winner at the end of the Retreat.......Congrats to Narelle :)

My Bestie's son's wedding was a low key but fabulous "Party" and the Bride looked gorgeous and the Groom very handsome too.

I made them a wedding card/gift card holder all in one

Here I used the "Falling in Love" DSP and Washi Tape and the wording is from the "Floral Phrases" Stamp Set and "Watercolor Wishes" as well as a little splash of gold!!!

I will talk more about some of the exciting new things coming up in the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue which starts in just 2 weeks exactly today

Happy stamping everyone

OnStage 2017 April Event

Hello Stampers

Well another super exciting Stampin' Up! Event has come and gone and I have lots of exciting new things in my suitcase I have brought home from this event!!!  I can't share them with you just yet but hang in there and I will be sharing with you all  over the coming weeks :) :)

I just love attending the OnStage events that us Demonstrators are invited to at many exciting cities and venues around the world.  The main 2 1/2 day event was held in Amsterdam this April but many local events occur as well and I was lucky enough to attend the Sydney, Australia Event that was held at Luna Park.  Woohoo!!!!  this is one place I have always wanted to go to and so glad the organisers decided to hold our event here this time.  Myself and another couple of my Team of Sunburst Stampers, Sonia and Maree, decided to make a little holiday of it at the same time and we had just the best time with perfect weather.

So we headed out of Brisbane on the Thursday morning with our bags filled with little pillow gifts and I had 50 swaps...................

and landed in Sydney rearing to go!!!

We had a wonderful Sunset Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour......

and so excited to start our day on Saturday 8th April at Luna Park..........

So let the fun begin!!!

and there were many winners................
Firstly Kim who usually does not win anything :) :)

Then Sonia and followed by myself........

and then Maree....

Sorry I can't show you what we won just yet but in the coming weeks watch this space :)
We just had a fabulous day and you can join us at our next event which will be held at the Gold Coast in Queensland not far from where I live...Yay!!!!  Just come along as one of my wonderful team The Sunburst Stampers and ask me here how :)

The Group of INKcredibles who we are also a part of met up for dinner afterwards with this gorgeous view

and sadly on Sunday we had to fly back home to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast but with a suitcase full of goodies ready to start playing and a copy of the next new Annual Catalogue!!!!

The new Annual Catalogue for 2017/2018 begins on June 1 so all will be revealed soon.  In the meantime keep watching for our 2017 Retirement List to grab those last minute bargains before your favourite "wish list" stamp set may be gone forever????

Happy Stamping Everyone :)
