Christmas is not far away!

Hi there Stamper :)

Christmas is only 77 days away and so I have been busy putting together my Christmas Card Collection ready to deliver to various workplaces for sale. Even though I have retired from my day job working in a busy Government Payroll Office I still stay in contact with my many friends there and they are always looking for that special hand crafted greeting card.

I love Christmas and love making really special gifts for my family with hand stamped wrapping paper ( I use the brown packing paper that comes in my Stampin' Up! orders....you know the stuff that is just too good to throw straight into the recycle bin???  Just smooth it out and fold it up ready for the next gift you need to wrap ) Here is a birthday gift for a good friend ready to take and I have also made the Gift Bow using a retired DSP.  I used  a retired stamp set "In the Spotlight" to randomly stamp all over the brown paper in Pear Pizazz and White Staz On.  Hope she likes it?

Here are just 2 of my favourite Christmas cards so far.  I like using non-traditional Christmas colours at times like Basic Grey in the top card and Crumb Cake in the second card.  The Ornament Keepsakes stamp set from the new Holiday Catalogue ( Page 3 ) features in the top card.  You can do so much with this stamp set and the great Framelits Dies that go with it.  Stampin' Up! just makes everything so easy :)

I used the Merry Minis Stamp Set, also from the Holiday Catalogue  ( Page 6) for card # 2 and, once again the Punch Pack that also co-ordinates with this stamp set. The Snow Festival DSP is also on my favourite list this year.  I did see a couple of similar designs like this  2nd card on Splitcoast Stampers ( See my link in the right hand column of this blog )  - thanks Lisa Curcia and Leathea Woodruff.  I just put my own twist to it using a polka dot embossing background and one of the Framelit Dies from the Apothecary Accents Framelits as well.

Hope you like my latest creations and TFL
